About
From Leena Culhane, Owner and Creative Director of Crudo e Nudo (LA), Isla (LA), and Bella Dea (NY), comes Force of Nature, a speakeasy tucked away in the upstairs of a century-old house on Abbot Kinney in Venice, CA. Force of Nature is a portal, a honeycomb, and a place for those who crave connection. Softly lit walls and intimate corners give way to an outdoor space with bar seating that overlooks The Cooks Garden, as well as open seating at a large community table - design that allows easy movement between interior and exterior worlds. Our offerings highlight women in regenerative culinary and creative practice - the visionaries inspiring a sustainable future while challenging the status quo, both in sourcing/production and representation. Our wine, cocktail, and non-alcoholic menu highlights the work of women who express terroir and intention, while the space itself creates opportunities for workshops, events, and deep dives of all kinds. These elements are designed to welcome you in exactly as you are and offer you a chance to slow down long enough to remember what needs remembering.
In a time when the world feels chaotic, fractured, and hungry for something real, Force of Nature is a place to land and honor what is sacred and resilient in each of us. We believe this moment calls for excavation, not escape. Force of Nature is a speakeasy, yes, but more than that, it is an altar to presence and community. Itβs an ode to women - and the folks who support women - as they continue to hold, expand, and deepen what is possible for all of us.
